Welcome to the re-vamped Rock n Coaster Podcast presented by First Paw Media. I am your host Robert Forto, and I am Michele Forto… If you have been a subscriber to our show, you know that we used to be called the Coaster Geeks podcast but that is only half of the story.
(Michele) You see, since 2015 Robert and I have traveled each summer on epic road trips to find the best roller coasters and music festivals across the country.
(Robert) Over the past few years, we have ridden more than 350 roller coasters and attended some of the best and largest music festivals in America.
One summer we traveled over 7000 miles from Denver to Ohio to New York City to Maine to Texas and back to Denver on a month-long quest to hit up as many theme parks as we could.
(Michele) A couple of years ago we attended two epic musical festivals, Bourbon and Beyond and Louder Than Life in Louisville Kentucky, over two weekends and saw some of the greatest artists of our generation: Bands like ZZ Top, Foo Fighters, John Fogerty, Guns n Roses, Rob Zombie, Godsmack and Slipknot… sadly since then we have lost two of these legendary performers, Dusty Hill and Taylor Hawkins since those shows… we also visited Holiday World, Kentucky Kingdom and Kings Island in between.
(Robert) With our re-brand, we will be covering many more trips and we will be breaking them down into seasons. For example, the spring leg of the Rock n Roller Across America Tour 2022 will be season 1 and the summer leg will be season 2 and so on…
(Michele) We have a lot in store for you on the podcast. This summer we will be visiting Podcast Movement in Dallas, Texas, going to Six Flags over Texas, Sea World San Antonio, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Then we will travel north to Portland Oregon to see Alice in Chains in one show, and the next night, Sammy Hagar and The Circle.
(Robert) In our fall leg, we will be at the Aftershock music festival for the first time in California, we will hit up the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and SeaWorld in San Diego. We will be hosting live at many of these events and parks and will share them on our social channels.
(Michele) When we are not on the road, we will be reviewing some of our favorite coasters and Robert will share, what he calls Deep Cuts. This is something special that Robert is doing. He has more than 45 years of attending concerts with his first show, KISS at seven years old. On Deep Cuts he shares his personal insight into how music has shaped his life, being in a rock band at the height of the grunge movement, and some original research into your favorite musicians and bands.
It’s going to be one heck of a ride. We are glad you are coming along! If you would like some behind-the-scenes content or just want to support our show, head over to patreon.com/firstpawmedia. You will be glad you did.
